Preheating Pressure Sensitive Adhesives

During winter months, parts and assemblies brought to the line using “just-in-time” delivery schedules arrive cold and difficult to manipulate or install.  Preheating these parts while staged for installation will allow for a faster, higher quality application. Additionally, parts using pressure sensitive adhesive strips need to heat to 90-110° F to achieve optimum performance.

A Fostoria component storage oven is compact and efficient. It can quickly heat the product to a controlled, accurate temperature for installation.

With pressurized heating sections and recirculating air movement, the tack of the adhesive will increase and soften the material to enhance the wet-out of the adhesive on painted surfaces.

The Fostoria Storage Oven allows a sufficient quantity of warmed product to support production while new material is being staged. Optional hinged rear doors and front mounted vinyl curtains make for easy part removal. “Closed loop” temperature controls are used for repeatable and accurate results.
