Our excellent test facilities in Fostoria can
provide computerized laboratory test results for your process heat applications.
In cases where products cannot be provided for in-plant testing, you may
achieve individual test results for your process by utilizing our Laboratory
Test Unit Model #69-162. These test units can be leased/rented on a monthly basis or
purchased outright. The factory, or the
Area Sales Representative (ASR) can forward a proposal and Lease
Rental Agreement. (See Equipment Lease-Rental Agreement in this section).
In most cases, a laboratory
test is needed in Fostoria to determine your process heat requirements.
A Laboratory
Test Request (Form-PHD-Lab-01, included in this section)
must be submitted. It is important that
you provide us with the information that relates to processing of your product,
by completing all pertinent areas of the form, and being sure the information is
accurate. A mutually convenient date and
time scheduled in the lab. Click here to

All lab test materials must be
sent to Fostoria prepaid freight and marked and tagged:
Process Heat Laboratory, Test. All
OSHA and EPA defined flammable or Hazardous materials must have a Material
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) attached, and each container must have a label listing
its contents. Fostoria receiving
inspectors will immediately return any material that does not have the proper
identification and paperwork.
Material sent for moisture
removal or other special product characteristics should be packaged to eliminate
product change-of-state during the shipping and storage time cycles.
You are always encouraged to be
present during product testing and we recommend you also bring any of your
material suppliers to our facilities. This
can expedite the entire process and can assist with finding the best solutions.
When testing is complete, the Laboratory Technician will generate all
testing documentation and a product lab report and submit to the Application
Sales Engineer (ASE). Further discussions may be necessary to determine the final
parameters. The ASE will then generate
the formal proposal, along with copies of the lab report and the temperature
curve data.

Data Form.
